Many years ago my mother needed $25 per month to send my brother to a private school. At that time it was a lot of money. She started baking birthday cakes for friends and family and continued baking for over 30 years. She was a talented decorator and had many loyal customers throughout the years. I was her helper for many of those years. I baked the cakes, washed the dishes, and she decorated. Now I realize that I should have paid much more attention to her decorating. I hope you enjoy peeking into my kitchen as I work to continue her legacy.
